Terrified mum walking with two kids horrified as stalker gropes bum and slips her note

A mum has issued a warning to other women after she was stalked and groped by a stranger while holding two young children.

Chanice Wilson from Scotland was walking through Glenrothes town centre , in Fife, with her young daughter and nephew on Monday when she became aware of a man following them.

The stranger even approached her young nephew and picked him up as the family walked around a shop, The Daily Record reports.

The shaken 21-year-old continued towards the bus station when she noticed he was lurking behind them before approaching her a short time later.

The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, began asking her personal questions including where she was from and if she lived alone.

She grabbed onto the two small children as the man continued to harass her before she felt him touch her bum as he slipped a note in her back pocket.

The worrying incident involving the man took place on Monday afternoon at a bus station

Chanice was horrified to discover the piece of paper contained a phone number, the name Scott and said ‘wanna hook up’ – prompting her to approach a woman for help.

But the ordeal continued as Chanice tried to board a random bus in a bid to escape from the man – with him allegedly attempting to board the same vehicle.

The mum-of-one has reported the incident to the police.

Chanice told the Daily Record how the experience had left her badly shaken and fearing for the safety of other young women travelling alone.

She said: “I was looking after my nephew while I waited for his mum to come get him at the bus station.

“We had gone through some of the shops while we were waiting. As we were walking through the first one, he was following at the back of us.

“He was just acting really strange and every aisle I went down, even when I repeated aisles, he kept following us.

“My nephew is only one-year-old and was walking along when this guy came and picked him up. I thought maybe he had fallen and I hadn’t realised so I then picked him up.

“When I was paying, he was behind me before going to one of the other cashiers, then he sat on a bench outside the shop, like he was waiting for us to come out.

“We walked down to the bottom of the town and I took my nephew and daughter into the toilet but when we came back out, he was there again.

“I walked down to the bus station and as I was standing there, he came out and started asking me questions like where do I live, do I live alone.

“He was just being really creepy and I didn’t want to answer him but he was so in my face and being really intimidating.

“I was holding my daughter and nephew, so my hands were full, but then put his hand on my bum and slipped something into my back pocket.

“I turned round and said ‘what the f*** are you doing?’ He said to just have a look and see and that his name was Scotty.

“He walked away back into the bus station and stood at the bus station window – just looking out, watching me. At this point I started panicking.

“My nephew’s mum showed up so I told her what was happening and she wanted to get him away so she went for her bus.

“At this point it was just me and my daughter when he came back out and started circling around me, acting really strange.

The disturbing note

“I went up to a girl and asked her if I could stand with her and explained that I was really scared and what had been happening.

“This was a man in his late 40s and he was making me feel so uncomfortable. When I read the note, it had his name, his phone number and said ‘wanna hook up’ on it.

“The girl said she would wait with me until her bus came so I called my boyfriend and gave him the number from the piece of paper.

“He told him he was really scaring me and to move away because he was making me really anxious.

“But the guy just started making weird noises down the phone and laughing. He was hanging up on my boyfriend and then calling him back.

“At first he claimed it wasn’t him, then he said he didn’t mean to hurt anyone because he had a split personality disorder and then called my boyfriend again to make the noises again.

“It was like he was purposely trying to wind him up.”

As the man continued to stare and walk around Chanice, she spotted a random bus coming into the stance.

In a bid to escape, she decided to board the vehicle and sat next to an older woman with her young daughter.

She continued: “At this point I saw a bus coming and it looked like it was quite full so I decided to just get on it even though I didn’t know where it was going.

“I grabbed my daughter and went straight for the bus because he was still walking around.

“But when he saw where I was going, he came out of the bus station and started walking really fast towards the bus.

“I panicked and told an older lady that this guy was following me and was going to get on the bus.

“The driver was moving away from the stance at this point so the guy started speeding up again so I just started shouting.

“Everyone was looking at me like I was crazy – I think one actually realised I was being serious.”

She added: “The driver eventually stopped the bus and I explained to him what had been happening. He said we were in Cowdenbeath and took us over the road to another stop.

“He made sure we were okay and said there was another bus coming in four minutes that would take us straight home.

“The woman who had helped us before on the bus got off and waited for us too because she obviously saw how frightened I was. It was a really horrible experience.

“I put a post up on Facebook to warn people
