RTE’s Ryan Tubridy has shared a snap as he winds down after an emotional Late Late Show.
The presenter enjoyed the sunny spells while taking a walk as he took a well-deserved break before the much anticipated Late Late Toy Show next week.
Captioning the snap, Ryan wrote: “Blowing the cobwebs away for a fresh start to Toy Show week…”
The Toy Show will be broadcast live this Friday as children from across the country participate in studio and from their sofas at home.
The theme of this year’s show has been well guarded as producers have not yet announced what will be in store this time.
However, the Late Late Toy Show is sure to bring the Christmas spirit along with a few memorable moments from the children who take part.
Ryan took some time out to prepare himself for the busy week ahead after Friday’s eventful Late Late Show.
Speaking to Cervical campaigner Vicky Phelan about her health struggles and discussing how long she has left viewers at home along with the presenter were moved by Vicky’s bravery and determination.
She told Ryan: “Four weeks ago, I didn’t think I’d see Christmas. That’s how real this is, you know for me at this stage… I spoke to my oncologist when I made the decision to not have any more chemotherapy. I mean, I think he was hoping I’d have a few more sessions, and I just said, no, I’m not doing this to my kids, I’m not doing this to myself.
“You know, at this stage, you know, I’ve been fighting this terminal part of the disease since 2018. This is my fourth line of treatment. Most people don’t get to four lines of treatment. You might get three lines, but when you get to four lines of treatment, what that means is this is my fourth time trying something different.
“There’s nothing they can do for you, you know. I just thought, no, I’m not doing this, I can’t do this anymore.”
Vicky said she is continuing to stay on pembro in the hopes it will allow her to see Christmas with her children.
