Cormac Mccarthy’s Súp Trio

Súp is a recently formed ensemble consisting of Cormac McCarthy (Piano), Eoin Walsh (Bass), and Davie Ryan (Drums). The idea for the trio stemmed from a common interest in exploring the synthesis of various musical styles through the medium of a piano trio.
Individually and collectively, the trio has performed and recorded with various acts across Europe and the U.S. Súp represented Ireland at the final of the Euroradio Jazz Competition in 2017.
Flappers Expect plenty of punchy grooves, high octane technicality, deceptively catchy riffs and swirling electronica as the Mercury Award-nominated Roller Trio roar into town, delivered with a trademark swagger and visceral energy that has seduced critics and fans.
Hailed as “the new sound of UK jazz” by DJ Gilles Peterson, these guys are not to be missed.
The Donny McCaslin Group
Three-time GRAMMY nominee Donny McCaslin is the leading saxophonist, composer, and musical pioneer of his generation, receiving wide commercial and critical acclaim in jazz, rock and electronica circles.
McCaslin’s latest album, ‘Beyond Now’ is dedicated to the music legend. Since its release, the album has gained praise from Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, NPR, The New York Times, Associated Press and more.
While many have discovered McCaslin for the first time since the release of ‘Blackstar’ and ‘Beyond Now’, his prominent career is over 25 years in the making.
Frank Vignola’s Hot Jazz Guitar Trio

Frank Vignola returns to the stage with “Frank Vignola’s Hot Jazz Guitar Trio”, in collaboration with long-time touring partner Vinny Raniolo, and the young and talented Jan Knutson.
Frank is one of the most extraordinary guitarists performing before the public today, his stellar technique explains why the New York Times deemed him “one of the brightest stars of the guitar.” He’s worked with top musicians including Ringo Starr, Madonna and Donald Fagen.Vinny Raniolo’s dynamic playing has brought him to 18 countries performing alongside his partner Frank. He’s been featured on three PBS Music shows and has film and recording credits for popular t.v shows.The trio’s youngest member, Jan Knutson is an extremely versatile musician, he’s recorded two solo CDs and currently studies with Rodney Jones at the Manhattan School of Music.

Linley Hamilton has been a part of the Irish music scene for over twenty years.
He juggles his time as a trumpet player, BBC Jazz Broadcaster and Lecturer in music at Ulster University Magee.
This year Hamilton released “Making other Arrangements” that included full rhythm section, saxes, woodwind and an 11-piece string section.

Maria Schneider Orchestra

Maria Schneider’s music has been hailed by critics as “evocative, majestic, magical, heart-stoppingly gorgeous, and beyond categorisation”.
She and her orchestra became widely known starting in 1994 when they released their first recording, ‘Evanescence’. There, Schneider began to develop her personal way of writing for what would become her 18-member collective, made up of many of the finest musicians in jazz today, tailoring her compositions to distinctly highlight the uniquely creative voices of the group.Schneider and her orchestra have a distinguished recording career with twelve GRAMMY nominations and five GRAMMY awards. Together they have performed at festivals and concert halls worldwide.In 2016, Schneider and her orchestra collaborated with iconic superstar David Bowie resulting in his single called ‘Sue’, which lead them to win a GRAMMY for best arrangement, instruments and vocals.
Nnenna Freelon Trio
Six-time GRAMMY Award nominee Nnenna Freelon has earned a well-deserved reputation as a compelling and captivating live performer.
In 2014, Nnenna starred in the critically acclaimed show “Georgia on My Mind: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles” at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. She also toured with the music legend, as well as many other great jazz artists including Ellis Marsalis, Al Jarreau and George Benson, to name but a few.In her most recent venture she takes on the role of a writer, composer and producer of the original theatrical presentation of The Clothesline Muse – a devised theatrical work of dance, music, spoken word, vibrant art and projections.Nnenna Freelon has created a diverse and outstanding legacy from her creativity to her performances that have garnered an ever-growing fan base from audiences to leaders worldwide.
The Stanley Clarke Band
Four-time Grammy Award winner Stanley Clarke is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated acoustic and electric bass players in the world. What’s more, he is equally gifted as a recording artist, performer, composer, conductor, arranger, producer and film score composer.
A true pioneer in jazz and jazz-fusion, Clarke is particularly known for his ferocious bass dexterity and consummate musicality. Unquestionably, he has attained “living legend” status during his over 40-year career as a bass virtuoso.Clarke considers his newly released album ‘The Message’ “funky, melodic, musical, contemporary and fresh with a rich multi-genre influence.” Including compositions from his band members, Beka Gochiashvili, Mike Mitchel and Cameron Graves, the album swells with an abundance of strength, soul and astounding musicianship.

The 4 Of Us have been a steadfast part of Irish music history for over a quarter of a century. Formed and fronted by Newry-born brothers Brendan and Declan Murphy, they have notched up an enviable catalogue of timeless songs, including six top 20 Irish charting albums.
Sugar Island, their latest album, explores the brothers’ early years growing up in Northern Ireland.
